Life&Style Magazine began its existence in 2008 with a small, square local magazine for Newark, Nottinghamshire. Since then it has developed in to a popular, well-read magazine now available across all of Nottinghamshire and selected parts of other counties in the Midlands.
It quickly grew to rival its major competitors in the lifestyle magazine market and it is now one of the main publications that advertisers turn to in order to gain an effective route to market in Nottinghamshire and one that readers turn to for fashion, culture and style news. Its unique audience of 25-55 year old ABC1 readers pick up thousands of free copies in carefully selected outlets such as Waitrose, Starbucks, Newark Northgate train station and many more independent shops and restaurants.
In 2009 we introduced the popular Red Carpet feature, covering glittering events in picture form, popular with a generation of partygoers in Nottingham and beyond. Our Thought features pose important questions about national and international politics and current affairs, and keep our readers informed as well as entertained.
In 2011, the decision was taken to re-format the magazine, in to an eco-friendly arts, fashion and culture magazine. Retaining the features that made it so popular at its birth, we have built on its success by using a matt, recycled paper to appeal to a completely new, environmentally conscious city-based audience – bringing us thousands of new readers.
